Nicolas Arsenijevic 

After brilliant studies at CRR de Cergy-Pontoise (with Jean-Yves Fourmeau) and Saint-Maur (with Nicolas Prost), this young saxophonist, born in 1988, studied with Christian Wirth before being admitted to the first-named unanimously Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris where he worked with Claude Delangle. He has won numerous awards in major competitions: Concours International de Nantes and European Competition Gap (2008), International Competition in Nova Gorica Slovenia (2011), Chieri International Competition in Italy (2011), Andorra International Sax Competition Fest (2015) He was also a finalist and winner of the prestigious International Competition Adolphe Sax in Dinant (Belgium) in 2014.

Nicolas Arsenijevic acquired parallel in recent years, a great stage experience. So he created in 2007, Oblivion Quintet with whom he gives numerous concerts everywhere in France. He participated as a soloist in several concerts with orchestra, particularly with the Slovenian String Chamber Orchestra in Ljubljana and with the Chieri Chamber Orchestra in Italy (concerts by Glazunov and Larsson).

He is member of the Ensemble Saxophone and Quatu’or Laloi (founded in 2008) excelling in the mix of genres – tango, jazz, music of Central Europe and the Balkans, classical music, contemporary creation – and constantly exploring new horizons. Open to all new experiences, Nicolas Arsenijevic also involved in contemporary creation and works with many composers.

After winning in 2012 the Grand Prix of the Academy of Music in Flaine, Nicolas Arsenijevic will gave, a recital with pianist Nima Sarkechik. It also occurs in sonata with pianist Françoise Buffet, as in January 2015 Salle Cortot (Paris), in collaboration with cellist Roland Pidoux. It is the origin of the creation of the show “Four bodies in Search of an Author” in October 2015 devoted to contemporary saxophone, double bass and two dancers.
