Bojan Zulfikarpašić, born Belgrader, has been living and working for more than two decades in Paris, where he is considered to be an esteemed artist of the French jazz stage. He has a very successful career, and won the most prestigious awards in jazz music. He recorded his first author album for solo piano in 2001 named Solobsession and gained with it the global reputation. Among numerous awards that he won over his career, the Prize of the French Government and title of the Knight of Order of Arts and Letters (2002), award Django Reinhardt by the French Academy for the musician of the year, European jazz award Hans Koller for the best European jazz musician (2005) and French award Les victoires du jazz for the best album in 2007 (Xenophonia) need to be particularly stressed. For his last album Soul Shelter (2012), he won the most prestigious French jazz award, Les victoires du jazz, the title of the best jazz musician.
