Belgrade SAXperience is a unique international saxophone festival, featuring the most prominent international and local saxophonists. It is special because it follows the contemporary trends and tries to reach to the broadest audience, so in addition to classical and jazz music concerts in the most important halls of Belgrade, the audience also has the opportunity to attend day-light outdoor performances, and evening club appearances. Integral part of the Festival is educational program for youth, who master their instrument skills through master courses. The focus is on promotion of new compositions for saxophone, so we comission composers to write compositions to have their first performance at the Festival.
Mini Saxperience is a program for education of the youngest audience, giving them the opportunity to learn interactivly all about this instrument from our youngest performers. Aimed at decentralization of the culture, the broadest audience accross Serbia will have the opportunity to hear the top world saxophonists, within the tour Le Tour de Sax. It is important to point out the Saxophone Summer School – Summer Saxperience, which is held in Herceg Novi. The goal is to provide the opportunity to students to learn from the most prominent world saxophonists while enjoying the summer atmosphere, as well as to create friendship between the gathered saxophone students, which will hopefully result in their future professional cooperation.
Belgrade SAXperience is the winner of the EFFE Label prize for 2017 and 2018, which is awarded to events of extraordinary national, local and international importance, as well as Belgrade Stars prize (Zvezde Beograda), awarded by the Youth Office of the City of Belgrade.
